Re: Income Tax Regulations Justice File # 89-208-02

          The following documents are enclosed:
          1) Three stamped copies (and five true copies thereof)
in each of English and French of the proposed amendments to the
Income Tax Regulations and the draft covering order.
          2) The original of the submission in English and French
signed by the Minister of National Revenue.
          3) Five copies of the approved Regulatory Impact
Analysis Statement, in English and French.
          4) A completed Request for Insertion in the Canada
Gazette.
          K. LaForest and M. Lefebvre of the Department of
Justice have approved the English and the French wording,
respectively.  We therefore request that the amendments be
submitted to the Governor General in Council for the purpose of
having them approved and that such further steps be taken as may
be required to have them published in Part II of the Canada
Gazette.
