Re: Canada Pension Plan 7(1)(f) Agreements High Commission for Antigua and Barbuda The Commonwealth of Learning
We have recently entered into 7(1)(f) agreements with Antigua and Barbuda and The Commonwealth of Learning. As has been the practise in the past, copies of these agreements for your records are attached hereto.
Paragraphs 6(1)(c) and 7(1)(f) of the Canada Pension Plan provide that employment by a foreign Government or international organization can only be covered pursuant to an agreement to that effect between our government and the foreign government or organization. The Minister of National Revenue has responsibility for the administration of these paragraphs, as provided by section 5 of the Plan. Section 79 of the Regulations to the Canada pension plan specifically authorizes the Minster of National Revenue to enter into such agreements on behalf of the Government of Canada.
