I am writing in response to your facsimile of February 6, 1991 to inform you that Mr. Thompson and Mrs. Albert are engaged in other projects and that we are not yet in a position to assign your correspondence to another officer.
Our policy is to respond to requests in the order in which they are received. Unfortunately there are a significant number of requests to be dealt with before work on yours can commence. I recognize that the February 6th facsimile is not your original request.
I should point out at this time that there is a charge for an advance income tax ruling. The present rate is $80.00 for each hour spent on a request by a rulings officer. A deposit of $400.00 is required before commencement of work on a request. Please forward your deposit payable to the Receiver General to my attention.
Should you find it necessary to write again before you are contacted by a rulings officer please address your correspondence to my attention.
