The taxpayer's account will be adjusted by Revenue programs division in Head Office in accordance with the instructions set out in TOM 5830.
The Ontario Ministry of Revenue will be provided with the information necessary for their consideration of a remission of provincial income tax. New Ontario legislation, specifically subsection 28(2) of the Income Tax Act, R.S.O., 1980 will now permit remission by the Province of related 24(1)
Enclosed for your information is a copy of the Minster's reply of January 9, 1990, our report to the Remission committee and the Committee's recommendation.
We are also enclosing the 1984 receipts and correspondence submitted by 19(1) to your office; the related duplicate receipt for borrowed records; and 19(1) T1 Returns for the years 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1987. Please arrange for transfer of the T1 Return charge-outs on the system.
