This is in reply to your letter of July 7, 1988, wherein you requested an advance income tax ruling on behalf of the above-noted taxpayer concerning an investment program which XXXX proposes to undertake.
Since the ruling requested is not in respect of specific proposed transactions, we are unable to issue a ruling to your client. Pursuant to our telephone conversation on August 24, 1988, we will consider this file closed.
Your deposit will be refunded under separate cover.
