Re: Capital Gains Exemption Section 110.6 of the Income Tax Act

This is in reply to your letter dated June 10, 1987, in which you request confirmation of our position concerning the eligibility of a capital gain for the capital gains exemption, given the circumstances outlined in your letter.

Following your telephone discussion with Glen Thornley on September 2, 1987, you indicated that you no longer require our comments on the issues raised in your letter in its present form. As a result, we are closing our file on this matter.
