Dear Sirs:

RE:  Subparagraph 95(2)(a)(ii)

This is in response to your letter dated October 24, 1991 requesting a technical interpretation regarding subparagraph 95(2)(a)(ii). We apologize for the lengthy delay in responding.

As you are aware from our numerous conversations concerning your request, the Rulings Directorate has been reviewing the Department's position on a number of issues involving partnerships, including subparagraph 95(2)(a)(ii). However, due to other priorities, we have not been able to devote the necessary time and resources to complete this review. At this time we are not in a position to give you a favorable response. Your letter will be held in abeyance until our review has been completed. When our review has been completed your file will be given priority.
