Subject: Remission Request Prescribed Prizes Paragraph 56(1)(n) of the Act
Attached are copies of correspondence with your Division and Current Amendments concerning the above subject. From discussion with André Legace, we understand that there are only four outstanding taxpayer requested adjustments that relate to statute-barred years at this time and you do not anticipate any more such requests.
Based ont the above information, we would like to process one remission covering the four taxpayers. In order that we may do so the following is required:
- Names, Addresses and S.I.N. numbers of all taxpayers involved,
- Years to be remitted for, _ Sufficient details of the prizes received to demonstrate that they qualify as "prescribed prizes" under Regulation 7700,
- The amount of tax (federal and provincial) to be remitted, and
- Any other information that would be helpful in processing the remission request.
