This is in reply to your letter of July 19, 1990 concerning a plan of one of your clients that was established in 1986 to defer a portion of an employee's salary.
The tax implications arising in a factual situation such as that described in your letter can be determined only after a review of all relevant documentation. Such a review is conducted by the District Taxation Office that services the area in which your client resides. We therefore suggest that you direct your questions to the appropriate District Taxation Office.
