Re: 19(1) Request for Advance Ruling
This is in reply to your letters dated November 6 and December 5, 1989 and January 31, 1990 on behalf of 19(1) and is further to 19(1) telephone conversation with our Mr. A.B. Adler on November 22, 1989, concerning an advance ruling request.
We understand that you are awaiting the enactment into law of Bill C-52 prior to deciding whether or not to proceed with the advance ruling request. Since it is not our practice to hold inactive advance ruling files open for long periods of time, and file 3-2865 has been inactive since December 5, 1989 this is to advise you that we are closing our file 3-2805. Should you subsequently decide that your client requires an advance income tax ruling we will be pleased to deal with it at that time.
For your information, Bill-C-52 is currently at the Second Reading Stage in the House of Commons.
The deposit of $250.00 will be refunded to you under separate cover.
