Policy Committee Presentation Highlights of Technical Bill
As discussed with you recently, attached is an index of the highlights we have prepared for items included in the forthcoming Technical Bill. We have not included items which are highly technical in nature and of primary interest to tax practitioners. Also excluded are minor changes which will have little impact.
I expect that we could be in a position to be available for a briefing to Policy Committee on this material by Thursday, May 10. The written material (approximately 35 pages) is almost ready.
In order to keep the time required for a briefing to a minimum, I suggest that the written material be circulated next week. This will give the policy committee members time to review the material and be in a position to raise any questions they may have.
