Re:  24(1)

This is in reply to your letter of December 4, 1989, in which you advised us that certain difficulties have delayed completion of the proposed transactions referred to in our tax ruling 3-2458 issued on August 16, 1989.

We hereby confirm that the rulings given in the above-mentioned letter will continue to be binding on the Department provided that the proposed transactions are completed prior to May 1, 1990.
