We are returning herewith the 1984 and 1986 TI returns of the above-captioned taxpayer which accompanied a request for remission of penalty in respect of the 1984 taxation year.

We enclose a copy of Order in Council, P.C. 1989-1292 dated June 29, 1989 authorizing the remission of penalty in the amount of 24(1) and all interest thereon.  This is for your information only as the taxpayer's account will be adjusted by Revenue Programs Section in Head Office in accordance with TOM 5830.
