Quality of Service Survey - Head Office Administration Division
Accommodation
Due to the nature of our work (handling draft legislation and budget proposals before they are made public), the officers in this Division should have their own offices. This would aid in maintaining the security of the material we handle.
Telecommunications
Good service.
The quality of the internal mail distribution system fell sharply when the commissionaires were let go and is still not satisfactory.
Records Operations
All records are maintained internally.
Word and Information Processing Services
Not used.
Telex and Facsimile Services
Telex not used. Fax machine recently installed and seems to be working at acceptable level now.
Temporary Replacement Services
In the past fiscal year we had to obtain temporary replacement for our secretary only once. However, the replacement obtained was unreliable (absent for three days during the replacement period) and was not skilled on the Micom. We would appreciate greater emphasis being placed on the skills required by any future replacements.
Material Operations
Good service on small moves. There seems to have been a problem a few months ago obtaining supplies of photocopy paper (8 1/2 x 11) and lined pads (8 1/2 x 11).
Security
Good service.
