Dear Sirs:
This is in reply to your letter dated November 21, 1989 concerning a client who expects to receive an amount shortly in settlement of certain amounts of capital and interest owing to the client.

As indicated in paragraph 23 of Information Circular No. 70-6R we do not give written opinions on proposed transactions. Accordingly, we are not in a position to provide you with the confirmations you require.
However, we have referred a copy of your letter to our Audit Applications Division for their consideration, and expect that an official from that division will contact you directly regarding the issues of concern to you. Should you wish to discuss those issues on a more urgent basis we suggest that you contact relevant officials at the Winnipeg District Taxation Office.
