I am responding to your request for remission of income tax under the Financial Administration Act in respect of your 1984 taxation year. I apologize for the delay in bringing this matter to a close.

I am please to inform you that, on September 21, 1989, an Order in Council was issued by Her Excellency the Governor General in Council authorizing the remission of the 1984 income tax in the amount of (19(1)) and all interest thereon payable by you. A copy of the Order in Council is enclosed for your information.

I wish to thank you for bringing your concern to my attention and trust that the matter has been resolved to your satisfaction.
