Re:  Reporting of Social Assistance

We have your letter of August 28 regarding the above.

It is not intended at this time that Revenue Canada should be provided with a copy of the form issued to the recipient of either workers compensation or social assistance.  In our letter of January 18 we attempted to answer some of the questions put to us, including the necessity of reporting.  a copy is attached for your information.

We appreciate your concerns in this matter but we must proceed with the reporting procedures in the present context.  We will keep you advised of developments in regard to the regulations.
