We have received the attached request from the 24(1) Treasurer for our Department's views, if any, on 24(1) proposed new measures for taxing foreign source income. As the letter refers to the "technical aspects" of the legislation and providing us with any comments you might have which would be of interest to the 24(1) authorities.

The Treasurer has asked for our comments by March 2, 1990.
