SUBJECT: REMISSION OF TAX 19(1)

Thank you for your memorandum of August 3, 1989.

I note that 19(1) in your view, meets the criteria outlined by Assessing for administrative relief with respect to the lump sum payments she received.  You should proceed to provide such relief.  Since the matter can be resolved administratively, remission consideration is no longer necessary and we are closing our file.
