Dear Sirs:

Re: 24(1) Request for Advance Ruling

This is in reply to your letter dated December 4, 1989 on behalf of the Estate, and is further to 19(1)

telephone conversations with our Mr. A.B. Adler on January 12 and February 21, 1990 during which

was asked to provide additional information concerning the advance ruling request.

It is not our practice to hold inactive ruling files open for long periods of time, and file 3-2865 has been inactive since January 12, 1990.  Accordingly, unless we receive a written commitment from you by the end of this month to provide us with, at an early date, any information required to complete the ruling we intend to close our file and bill you for our time spent on this file.
