My dear Colleague:
I am writing further to my letter of June 23, 1989, concerning your request for remission of tax on behalf of 19(1). I apologize for the delay in my response.
I have responded directly to 19(1) and I am enclosing a copy of my reply for your information. A review of his business losses should be made through the objection and appeal process before remission under the Financial Administration Act can be considered. The course of action that I have proposed will now give him the opportunity to obtain that review in all relevant years.
I wish to thank you for bringing 19(1) concerns to my attention.
