Dear

Re:  19(1)

This is in answer to your letter, dated September 14, 1989 in which you request our concurrence in special arrangements under Article 10 of the Agreement on Social Security between Canada and the Federal Republic of Germany.

We are pleased to accept, on behalf of the competent authority for Canada, that the person listed above will be covered under the Federal Republic of Germany social security legislation in respect of the assignment.  No doubt you will arrange to have a certificate of coverage issued to cover this period in accordance with Article 6 of the Implementing Arrangement.

Although we have accepted this request for exemption from Canada Pension Plan without a completion date, we require that a termination date for the assignment be included in the certificate when submitted to our Department.

Yours sincerely
