Re: Catalogue Classification

This is to confirm your telephone conversation of August 17, 1990, with Mr. Bryan Dath of our Office. We are not aware of any income tax reason for some catalogues bearing a price and others not. In either case, the taxpayer would value his inventory of catalogues for income tax purposes in accordance with section 10 of the Income Tax Act and his revenue from the sale of catalogues would be the amount, if any, actually charged for the catalogues.
